this makes me sick.
i have been brought up to accept that everyone has a right to live where they want, no matter their background or religion or sexuality or race. anyone who knows me will know how open-minded i am and how angry i get with people who complain about ‘foreigners’.
but this just makes me think “if you don’t like our soliders, get out of our country.” those men and women put their lives on the line to protect the country that you have chosen to move to. nobody forces you to live here, we house you and build your mosques and fight for your rights. and this is how you act? it’s completely out of line and so disgusting, i can’t even wrap my head around it. sure, protest against the war if that’s what your beliefs are. but not today, not in this horrendous and moronic way.
personally, i don’t agree with the war. i don’t agree with any wars, i think there are better and more peaceful ways to solve disputes. but i am so, so respectful and grateful for the soliders, past and present, who fought and continue to fight. they fight for me, for my friends, for my family, for every single person on this tiny little island. they don’t know us, they probably never will, but they still continue to risk their lives to protect us. until you have been in their place, do not disrespect them in such a grotesque way.
that is all i have to say on the matter. rip to all those who’ve fallen in battle.

I hate how people are more concerned that today is 11/11 or Leonardo DiCaprio’s birthday. It is Remembrance day, have some form of a fucking heart! People have lost their lives for you, but no, you don’t give a shit do you? You’re okay. Their families and friends aren’t, people are fighting for you at this very moment, yet you still don’t give a crap about them? Eugh can I just say that some people actually disgust me.
